Balance/Falls
You’ve had a fall in the last 6 months
You haven’t fallen but you’re balance is not as good and you’ve had near misses
You feel safe and stable on your feet
Stairs
You need to hold a rail whilst going up or down steps/stairs
You use the rail if its there but you can go up and down stairs without it
You can confidently go up and down stairs without holding on
On/off Ground
You cant get on and off the ground at all or you lack confidence to do so.
You can get on and off the ground but its effortful or you’d prefer to hold on.
You can confidently get on and off the ground without holding on
Pain
You get knee, hip or back pain that makes your legs weak and give way
You get knee, hip or back pain that may limit your activity
You might get some aches & pains but nothing that stops you
Arms/Shoulders
You have difficulty lifting your arm(s) overhead
Overhead tasks such as hanging washing are manageable but have become harder.
You are comfortable lifting or carrying objects overhead
Level of activity
Your activities consistent mainly of normal daily tasks with some walking.
In addition to normal daily tasks, your activities may include swimming, bushwalks, stairs, exercises, group classes.
You are quite active and manage a variety of movements and intensities
